COLLINS OSAYAMWEN, CFM, FMP, IFMA Fellow

Collins Osayamwen, a Certified Facility Manager and seasoned consultant, possesses over two decades of international experience in shaping and implementing policies and projects across diverse sectors. As the Managing Partner/Senior Consultant of SheltercareFM Consult in Nigeria, he has been instrumental in the strategic design and implementation of projects, particularly in the realm of Public Private Partnerships.

Professional Leadership and Advocacy

Collins is not only a practitioner but a visionary leader dedicated to advancing the field of facility management (FM). He is a founding partner of the Corporate FM Alliance, a consortium of international companies collaborating to deliver FM and Real Estate services across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

His contributions extend to championing the institutionalization of the FM profession in Nigeria, actively organizing seminars and workshops to promote knowledge, best practices, and industry development in Nigeria and across Africa.

He has served as the President of the Association of Facilities Management Practitioners, Nigeria (AFMPN), a position he assumed in February 2021. Collins has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of AFMPN, which was incorporated in Nigeria in 2017.

International Recognition and Advocacy

In 2017, Collins achieved the prestigious status of becoming a Fellow of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), based in Houston, Texas. Notably, between 2013 and 2015, he served on the IFMA Board of Directors, marking the first time an African professional held such a position. His vision to elevate the visibility of Facility Management in Africa continues to drive his efforts.

Collins is recognized for pioneering the creation of the Abuja Chapter in 2008 and the Ghana Chapter in 2010, contributing significantly to the global presence of IFMA.
